Devon Moore, MSW, LCSW

Devon received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Law & Society from Purdue University in 2006. She then went on to obtain her Master’s in Social Work from IUPUI and is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 12 years of experience in the social work field. She started her career working in a residential facility for youth involved with the juvenile justice and/or child welfare systems where she worked her way up from Therapist/Case Manger to Deputy Director. Devon joined the West Lafayette Police Department as the Social Service & Crisis Response Specialist in March 2021 and is excited about the opportunities for collaboration between social service and law enforcement.
Law Enforcement Track: Merging Operations
The group will elaborate on the internal collaboration between PSWs and LEOs. The panelists will discuss the referral process and on-scene collaboration, utilization of PSWs on negotiations, officers’ experiences with integrating PSWs into the department and how PSWs can ease the transition into the department.
