Susan Sandberg

Susan Sandberg has served at-large on the Bloomington City Council since 2007.  She is a long-standing member of the Jack Hopkins Social Services Fund Committee and currently serves as committee chair.  Susan has worked as a case manager in Child Protective Services.  Past president of the board of the South Central Community Action Program, Susan remains active in community affairs related to poverty prevention, addiction services, and re-entry programs for formerly incarcerated individuals.  She is a strong advocate for public safety including support for adequate public resources to enable the Bloomington Police Department to operate in safety and civility.

    The breakout session will discuss the political environment that affects Law Enforcement agencies and the community including funding departments and the defunding the police movement, accountability within the department, and public safety policies.
